The Butler women's lacrosse team (3-12) will play their final home match of the 2019 season on Saturday when they face the Villanova Wildcats in a BIG EAST match-up.The game will stream live on the BIG EAST Digital Network. The Bulldogs are coming off a pair of losses to #16 Denver and #4 Notre Dame last week and look to bounce back against the Wildcats.Â

Carly Hewitt, and
Adilyn Smith - will be recognized prior to the start of Saturday's match.

Junior
Sydney Pattison had her best game of the season against Denver, finding the back of the net three times for the hat trick.
Layla Tattersfield and
Elizabeth Davide recorded the two other Butler goals.

Ashley Steffes continued to impress in the draw control circle, picking up six more wins on Saturday to bring her season total to 38.
Freshman
Holly Hall has seen significant playing time in the midfield the past few games. She has done a little bit of everything for the Bulldogs, scoring 10 goals, picking up 16 ground balls and causing 13 turnovers this season.

Carly Hewitt and
Jordan Fischbach have served as the defensive duo for the Bulldogs in 2019, combining for 40 causes turnovers and 57 ground balls.

Ashley Guerra leads the Butler attack with 25 goals on the season. Her 16 assists are also a team high and a mark good enough for ninth in the BIG EAST conference.

Amanda Rumsey has been the anchor in the net for the Bulldogs, registering 109 saves on the season. At 7.27 saves per game, Rumsey ranks third among BIG EAST goaltenders.

The Villanova Wildcats (9-6, 2-1 BIG EAST) have been tested all year by a tough non-conference schedule. The Wildcats hold impressive wins over Holy Cross, Marquette and Cornell this season. The Wildcats have also suffered losses to four ranked opponents. #24 Duke, #15 Princeton, #17 Navy and #22 Georgetown all notched a win over Villanova.

Junior Liz Trojan and Sophomore Brittany Bruno, who have scored 28 and 29 goals, respectively, lead the Wildcats offensive attack. Katie Comerford's 17 goals and 27 assists give her the team lead in points with 44.

Redshirt-Senior Devin Hassinger has dominated play in the draw control circle this season with 109 wins. Her 7.27 draw control victories per game are good for first overall in the BIG EAST and ninth in the nation.

In the cage, freshman Alexa Moro has put together eight wins and just five losses for the Wildcats. Moro has tallied 126 saves this season, which gives her a save percentage of .457. She is second in the BIG EAST in saves per game (8.40) and total saves (126).

Villanova's top defender, Sydney Frank has helped out her goaltender on the defensive side of the field this season. Frank has caused 1.73 (26 total) turnovers per game this season, second to Butler's
Carly Hewitt (1.92).
