@ButlerVB Releases 2019 Schedule


INDIANAPOLIS – Head Coach Sharon Clark has released the 2019 Butler volleyball schedule which includes four tournaments before the start of BIG EAST action. Butler will host the Bulldog Brawl to signal the end of the non-conference season on Sept. 20. The 2019 campaign will get underway on Friday, Aug. 30 at the Auburn Tournament.
 
The Auburn Tigers will host Butler, New Mexico State and Tennessee State over their two-day tournament on opening weekend. Butler will face New Mexico State in the season opener and return to the court later that day to play Tennessee State. The finale will come on Aug. 31 with BU facing the Tigers.
 
The second week of the regular season will send Butler to Bowling Green. The tournament field there will also include Charlotte and Cleveland State. BU will once again play two games on the first day. They will end the weekend with a match vs. Charlotte on Sept. 7.
 
The final non-conference road trip will take Butler to Milwaukee. The Panthers will host Butler, Western Michigan and North Dakota from Sept. 13-14.
 
The breakdown of the 2019 Bulldog Brawl will feature Butler hosting Pacific on Friday, Sept. 20. BU will return to action the following day to play both Belmont and Loyola Marymount. LMU and New Mexico State join Marquette and Creighton as 2019 opponents who participated in last year's NCAA Tournament field. The Lions will play inside Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 6 PM.
 
BIG EAST play starts off with a bang with Butler traveling to Marquette to face the Golden Eagles on a Wednesday afternoon.
 
The BIG EAST home opener will be played against DePaul this year on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6 PM.  Weekend home stands later that month include showdowns vs. St. John's and Seton Hall (Oct. 11-12). The month of October will end with BU hosting Villanova and Georgetown (Oct. 25-27).
 
Marquette will head to Hinkle Fieldhouse on Sunday, Nov. 3. BU will then end the regular season by playing three of their final four matches at home. The 'Dawgs will face Providence and Creighton on Nov. 15 and Nov. 17. Senior day is set for Saturday, Nov. 23 vs. Xavier.

The 2019 Olympic Sports Pass goes on sale Wednesday, May 15 at 10 a.m., and single-match tickets will go on sale June 1.
