The Bulldogs Weekly Recap
Butler enters the final non-conference match at 5-3-0. The Bulldogs went 1-1 in week four of the 2019 season.

The Bulldogs fell 2-1 to Illinois at the Sellick Bowl on Thursday, which was the first home loss for Butler since 2016. Savich scored the Bulldogs' only goal in the match. The game-winning goal by Illinois came from a penalty kick.

Butler bounced back on Sunday with a 2-1 victory of their own over Kent State on Senior Day. Savich scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick, bringing her to six total goals on the season. Later in the second period, freshman Becky Dean netted her second goal of the year and first game-winner to close out the match.

The Utah Utes
The Utes enter the match-up 4-3 on the year, with wins over Utah State, Cal Poly, Boise State, and Nevada. Holly Daugirda leads the team in goals (2) and points (4).

Aleea Gwerder has one goal and one assist, as the rest of the stats are spread throughout the Utes roster. Four Utes have one goal apiece and four different players each have an assist, making for a well-balanced offensive.

In 2018, Utah went 9-8-2, ending the season with a win over No. 21 Colorado, but just missing a trip to the PAC-12 Tournament.

A Limited History; New Teams Meet
Friday's match is the first meeting between the teams since 1999. In that match 20 years ago, Utah claimed the 3-2 victory in overtime. The game was part of the Nike Soccer Showcase SoccerFest.

BIG EAST Weekly Awards
The Bulldogs have found a place on each of the four weekly BIG EAST awards thus far in 2019.  This week, Savich made the BIG EAST Honor Roll list after netting a goal in both Bulldog games in week four.
