BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Butler ended the 2019 Hampton Inn Bowling Green Invitational with a 3-1 setback to Charlotte. Anna Logan was the player of the game with 16 kills and 17 digs.
 
How It Happened
Butler won the second set 25-22 to knot the match at 1-1. The 49ers would respond by winning the third 25-17 and would end the day quickly after with a 25-23 win. Logan and Megan Sheridan would pace the offensive attack for BU. Logan hit .212 by recording her tea-best 16 kills on 52 attempts. Sheridan was in the box score with 11 kills and nine digs. The top defensive effort once again belonged to libero Elizabeth LaBue. She led the team with 18 digs.
 
Sydney Rowan stole the show for Charlotte with a match-high 20 kills. She held a .370 attack percentage and posted a double-double by adding 14 digs. Tyra Galloway impacted the match with 11 kills. She hit .556 by only recording one attack error.

Butler recorded five more kills than Charlotte in the first set (16-11), but were unable to get the win.
 
Stat of the Game
Megan Ramseyer posted a team-high 39 assists to go along with 12 digs. She also added a service ace.
 
What's Next
Butler will compete in the 2019 Panther Invite next weekend, hosted by Milwaukee. The 'Dawgs will play Western Michigan and Milwaukee on Friday. Their third opponent will be Southeast Missouri State on Saturday at noon.
