Sarah Monesmith battled to keep the point alive for the Bulldogs, but dropped the set, 5-7. The No. 3 flight of
Emily Neal/
Kendal Wilby went unfinished, but trailed 5-6.
Western Michigan went on to sweep all six singles matches in straight sets.
The Bulldogs will play their third game in as many days on Sunday, Feb. 2 in South Bend, taking on Notre Dame. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
