Butler senior Kamar Baldwin continues to be recognized for his strong performance so far during the 2019-20 season. His most recent accolade is his inclusion on the Citizen Naismith Trophy 2020 Midseason Team. He is one of 30 student-athletes to make the list. The announcement was made Thursday (Feb. 13) by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Thursday.

Baldwin has led the Bulldogs to a 19-6 record and Top 20 national ranking at this point in the season. The 6-1 guard is averaging a team-best 16.1 points per game, to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

For his career, Baldwin holds spots in Butler's Top 10 in scoring, assists and steals. Baldwin has led the Bulldogs in scoring in 16 of the team's 25 games this season, including eight 20-point or better performances.

In BIG EAST play, Baldwin's scoring average increases to 18.4 points per game, which is third in the conference.
 
Next month the list will narrow even further to 10 national semifinalists. The four finalists will be announced later in March and fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite player leading up to the final announcement. The 2020 Citizen Naismith Trophy will be awarded at the Naismith Awards Brunch during the Final Four in Atlanta. Only players on the midseason team are eligible to advance to the next round.
