GAME NOTES
INDIANAPOLIS – The final two home games of the regular season will be played inside Hinkle Fieldhouse this weekend as Butler hosts Creighton and Providence. Friday night's game against the Bluejays will steam on BEDN at 7 PM. Sunday's 2 PM tip vs. Providence will be Senior Day. All Senior Day activities will take place after the game.

Naira Caceres started at Marquette. She went 4-for-4 from 3 at Creighton with five assists.

Katherine Strong scored a season-high 15 points at DePaul on 7-of-15 shooting.
- Strong has made a season-high seven field goals in each of her last two games.
- Spolyar posted her sixth double-double of the year at DePaul with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Spolyar ranks third in the BIG EAST and 29th in the NCAA with an 18.6 scoring average.

Scouting Creighton
Creighton is one game back of Butler in the conference standings at 8-6. They split a pair of games last weekend, taking a home loss to St. John's, but winning two days later over Seton Hall. Tatum Rembao earned Player of the Week honors for the Bluejays after posting back-to-back 20-point games. For the week, she averaged a BIG EAST-best 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 50-percent shooting, including a league-high 83.3-percent clip from three along with a 16-of-18 mark from the charity stripe. The Bulldogs will also have to contain Jaylyn Agnew and Temi Carda. Each player is averaging over 15 ppg.
All-Time Series
Creighton leads Butler in the all-time series 9-7. BU has won the last three meetings during the regular season, but the Bluejays eliminated Butler from the 2019 conference tournament (60-51).
Butler at Creighton
The Bulldogs saw three players finish in double figures with
Kristen Spolyar leading the way with 25 points while
Naira Caceres chipped in 14 behind a perfect 4-for-4 performance from behind the arc.
Upe Atosu came off the bench to score 12 points as the Bulldogs shot 48 percent from the field and 50 percent from long range. The squads were knotted at halftime before Butler hit four triples to start the third quarter and create some separation. They ended the game with nine made 3-pointers, marking their second highest total of the season. Tatum Rembao connected from deep on five occasions and tallied 23 points to lead Creighton while rookie Carly Bachelor tallied a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Scouting Providence
The Friars are coming off an impressive 54-53 win over St. John's. Alyssa Geary was the top performer for Providence last week, beginning with a 12-point, six-rebound outing vs. Seton Hall on Friday before going for 10 points, four rebounds and three assists in Sunday's win over St. John's. The Bulldogs will have to slow down Mary Baskerville on the inside. The sophomore leads the team in both points (12.6) and rebounds (7.7).
All-Time Series
Butler has won 10 of the 14 meetings vs. the Friars. 2018-19 accounted for two of Providence's four wins in the all-time series. The first meeting that season was a triple overtime setback at Alumni Hall. The Friars completed the sweep with a single overtime win at Hinkle a month later.
Butler at Providence
Butler scored 22 points off 26 Friar miscues to win at Providence 50-47. Earlette Scott scored 11 of her team-high 13 points in the final quarter as PC erased an eight-point deficit.
Oumou Toure scored six of her game-high 14 points over the final 10 minutes to thwart the Friars' comeback bid, however, adding three assists and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Spolyar Shoots Up All-Time Scoring List at BU
Kristen Spolyar ranks sixth on the Butler all-time scoring list (1,466). She is now 20 points shy of fifth (Jennifer Marlow, 95-99). Spolyar's top scoring performance this season came against Detroit Mercy when she tied the BU single-game point's record with 37. The senior averages 18.6 points per game, the highest average of any Bulldog since 1992-93 (Julie VonDielingen / 20.1).

Spolyar ranks 10th all-time in field goals made (483), fifth in field goal attempts (1298), ninth in made 3-point field goals (143), sixth in 3-point attempts (492), fifth in free throws made (357), seventh in free throw attempts (477), and 10th in steals (172).
