Ashley Guerra got the Butler offense going, netting a goal with 12:12 left in the period, bringing the score to 4-1.
The Chippewas would score four more times before half, spreading the gap to 8-1 to start the second period. The Bulldogs never quite found their offensive rhythm, leaving six more goals by Central Michigan unanswered.
