PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Butler scored six runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Saint Joseph's by the final score of 8-6 on Wednesday afternoon. 
Clay Holzworth earned his first win on the mound and 
Jack Pilcher picked up his team-best fourth save of the season. The victory moves BU to 8-7 overall.
 
Butler scored in the second inning off an RBI single from 
Jordan Wendel and would tie the game at 2-2 in the third after a 
Matt McElwain RBI single.
 
After eight innings of action SJU would own a 6-2 advantage, but the Bulldogs came roaring back in the ninth to steal the win.
 
Robbie McCargar delivered a two-RBI double in the ninth and 
Jacob Margroff would get BU back within one run by being walked with the bases loaded.
 
Nick Ortega would come up huge in the ninth to give Butler the lead. He singled to score Dill and Wendel, moving the scoreboard to 7-6. Butler's insurance run came soon after as 
Kollyn All walked with the bases loaded.
 
Holzworth got the final two outs of the eighth to earn the win and Pilcher tossed the ninth for the save. BU started 
Cory Bosecker on Wednesday. He threw the first four innings and struck out three. 
Scott Wright and 
Ryan Schmit would provide early relief and the back end of the pen would include 
Grant Hurn and 
Nick Eaton.
 
Butler will return to action this weekend for a three-game series at Bulldog Park. The Western Michigan Broncos will visit Indianapolis for a series that starts on Friday afternoon at 4 PM. Saturday's game will feature a 2 PM first pitch and Sunday will get started at 1 PM.
