After three games on the road, the Butler women's lacrosse team returns to Varsity Field to host Presbyterian College at noon on Saturday, March 7.

- Following wins over Kent State and Akron, Bulldogs are have set a new season win record (4-1)
- Goalie Amanda Rumsey and midfielder Kaley Attaway were named BIG EAST Defender and Freshman of the Week (March 2)
- Butler has been represented on all three BIG EAST weekly honors, as attackers Gabryelle Bodine and Ashley Guerra were named to the honor roll on week one and week two, respectively
- Rumsey leads the BIG EAST in GAA (7.79) and save percentage (.522) in at least five games played
- Elizabeth Davide has a team-high 27 draw controls on the season, which ranks fifth in the BIG EAST in draw controls per game (5.40)
- Bodine leads Butler scorers with 12 goals and three assists, averaging three points and 2.40 goals per game.
- In 2019, Bulldogs led the BIG EAST in saves per game and were third in the conference in caused turnovers

BUTLER GOES 2-0Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Bulldogs saw 14 different players notch at least a point in the 2-0 weekend, including a team-best eight for
Gabryelle Bodine, who also led Butler (4-1) with seven goals. Bodine tallied four points in each game, registering four goals against Kent State and three goals with an assist against Akron.
Amanda Rumsey was a force in the cage of the weekend, posting a .579 save percentage and 8.02 goals against average, while
Mary Larson led Butler with four caused turnovers in the two-game stretch.

The Blue Hose (2-3) are coming off two recent losses to VCU (10-23) and at Kennesaw State (11-22). Sarah Marshall has headed the offensive charge, leading the team with 15 goals on the year. In 2019, Presbyterian went 1-6, going 0-6 in the Big South.

Saturday will be the first meeting between the two teams since the Bulldogs inaugural season in 2017. The Blue Hose came away with the 12-5 win in the first match-up.

Butler currently sits at No. 2 in the BIG EAST standings. The Bulldogs have also been represented on all three of the BIG EAST Weekly Honors. Bodine and
Ashley Guerra were named to the weekly honor roll following week one and two, respectively.
On the most recent honors (March 2), Rumsey earned BIG EAST Defender of the Week, while midfielder
Kaley Attaway was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.

The Bulldogs will set out on another three game road swing, starting with a trip to Moon Township, Pennsylvania to face Robert Morris on Wednesday, March 11. Butler will face St. Bonaventure on Saturday, March 14 and Louisville on Tuesday, March 17, before returning to Varisty Field on Friday, March 20.
