Butler student-athletes posted one of the most impressive academic semesters in program history during the spring 2020 semester. The Butler Athletics department and its teams combined to post a cumulative GPA of 3.563.
The Bulldogs followed up a strong fall semester, which saw student-athletes register a 3.392 GPA.
The spring semester effort was led by the 82 student-athletes who posted a 4.0 GPA during the semester. That is nearly 20 percent of Butler's NCAA student-athlete population.

Of Butler's 18 NCAA athletic programs, the women's soccer team posted the highest-team GPA with an impressive 3.861. Thirteen women's soccer student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 mark during the spring. The women's cross country team registered a 3.805 team GPA, closely followed by Butler's women's swimming program at 3.794.
On the men's side, the men's cross country team earned a 3.718 as a team, followed by the men's track and field team with a 3.709 GPA. Rounding out the top-three was men's soccer with a 3.548 mark for the semester.
Seventeen of Butler's 18 NCAA athletic programs had team GPAs above 3.3.
