INDIANAPOLIS – The defensive specialists on the 2020 roster include one returner, one transfer and three true freshmen.
Jillian Ziemba highlights the unit that also includes
Jaymeson Kinley,
Caroline Cleveland,
Lauren Hughes and
Hannah Kelly.
Ziemba played in 91 sets for BU in 2019. She finished the year with 153 digs, marking the fifth-best total on the team. She also ranked fifth in service aces with 20. Top individual performances for Ziemba while at Butler include a four-ace, 11-dig match vs. SEMO and a season-best 13 digs and three aces vs. St. John's.

Sharon Clark brought in
Jaymeson Kinley to compete for the libero role. While at Austin Peay, Kinley appeared in 72 sets. She recorded 239 digs, 49 assists and six aces.
The freshmen trio of Cleveland, Hughes, and Kelly round out this group. Cleveland was a four-year starter at Saint Andrew's. She ended her high school career with 754 kills, 911 digs and 150 service aces. Hughes and Kelly come to BU after stellar club careers. Hughes played for Sports Performance 18 Elite and Kelly competed at the Elite Volleyball training center.
