INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The Butler women's soccer team broke a tie for third in the BIG EAST with a 1-0 overtime victory over Providence. The Bulldogs (11-2-1, 4-1-1 BIG EAST) scored the lone goal of the match just over five minutes into the first extra period, pushing the Friars (8-4-2, 3-2-1 BIG EAST) out of the top-three in the conference standings.

Her left-footed shot was touched by the outstretched glove of the Providence keeper, but it continued into the upper left corner of the goal, giving the Bulldogs a thrilling, 1-0, win.
