The Butler women's soccer team is on the road and set to battle BIG EAST leader Xavier on Thursday, October 21, at 7pm. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-0 win over DePaul, while the No. 17 Musketeers most recently defeated Marquette, 3-1.

Bulldog Bits

• Abigail Isger is 15th nationally with four game-winning goals and is tied for the BIG EAST lead.
• Katie Soderstrom is second in the BIG EAST and 32nd nationally with nine goals. Soderstrom is also second in the BIG EAST and 25th nationally with 24 points.
• Alli Leonard, with seven assists, is second in the BIG EAST and 34th nationally. Soderstrom (with six) is fourth in the conference, while Isger (with five) is sixth in the BIG EAST.

• Bulldogs goalkeeper Emma Martin was selected as the BIG EAST Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for her performances against Providence and DePaul. She scored back-to-back shutout victories last week, making three stops in each contest. Over seven BIG EAST appearances, Martin shows a 0.41 goals-against average and .850 save percentage.
   
• With either one win or three ties, the Bulldogs would be guaranteed a spot in the 6-team BIG EAST Tournament.
• Butler is one of four teams, along with No. 17 Xavier, No. 20 Georgetown, and UConn, who remain mathematically in contention for a #1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. The #1 seed will host the semifinals and championship match.
