Yogi Flager has caught at least four passes in four-straight games for Butler. He caught a season-high six passes in the setback vs. Drake.

SCOUTING SAN DIEGO: The Toreros came back to defeat St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon by the final score of 27-24 to claim their first win of the season. USD faced a 24-14 deficit midway through the third quarter, but would score 13 unanswered points down the stretch to find the win column. Judd Erickson and Mason Randall split snaps at quarterback. Erickson had the best numbers of the two, throwing for 154 yards and two scores. Terrence Smith rushed 14 times for 83 yards and Preseason PFL pick Michael Carner would impact the game with six grabs for 110 yards and one TD.

Kama Kamaka and Brandon Eickert earned PFL honors on Sunday. Kamaka forced a fumble late in the third quarter on a strip sack and took the ball 38 yards back to the house to help San Diego win vs. St. Thomas. Eickert hit a 31-yard FG that went down as the game-winner with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

LAST GAME VS. SAN DIEGO: San Diego defeated Butler 27-13 during the 2021 spring season. The Bulldogs were limited to 35 rushing yards in the setback, while the Toreros gained 173 yards on the ground.

Yogi Flager had a breakout performance at San Diego, catching four passes for 103 yards. Gabe Hicks and Isaac Kolosik highlighted the defense. Hicks made 10 tackles and Kolosik added eight stops, a forced fumble and an interception.

ALL-TIME SERIES: San Diego leads the all-time series against Butler 20-5. Butler's last win came during the 2009 season (25-24).

Butler hit a 37-yard field goal with just two seconds left on the game clock to defeat San Diego at the Sellick Bowl in 2009. Four of Butler's five wins against San Diego have come in Indianapolis.

ORCHESTATING THE OFFENSE: Butler has only managed to score 10 total points over their three losses this season, but have erupted with 126 combined points in their two victories. The only FCS school to score more points in a single game other than Butler is another PFL team in Presbyterian. The Blue Hose scored 84 points in a win over St. Andrews.

San Diego has allowed 185 points this season, the most of any team in the PFL.

FLAGER IS FOCUSED: Redshirt-freshman
Yogi Flager has a team-best 380 receiving yards this year. He is averaging 18.1 yards per catch and 76 yards per game.

Flager has 380 receiving yards while the rest of the BU roster is responsible for 484. The Toreros had two defensive backs selected to the Preseason All-PFL team.

NEW NUMBER: Yogi Flager has worn #84 for the first five games of the regular season, but will switch to #0 for the final six games.

This is the first season for college football players to wear #0.

DEFENSE DOES IT'S JOB: Butler limited Drake to just six points last week. They had allowed at least 24 points in every contest leading up to that game.

The Bulldogs came up with two sacks and five tackles for loss last Saturday. Thomas Rousseau, Jordan Caselberry and Jacob Cain led the charge defensively.

LEAGUE LEADER: Bret Bushka leads the PFL in completion percentage (65%). He has completed 69 pass this year for 802 yards.

Bushka played in wet weather conditions last Saturday, and connected on 12 of his 20 pass attempts (60%).

Nick Orlando is just 122 rushing yards shy of 1,000 for his BU career.
