The Butler men's soccer team is seeking an win at St. John's on Wednesday, November 3, at 7 pm, which would guarantee the Bulldogs a spot in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament. Butler is in a four-way tie for fourth place and is coming off an 0-2 loss to Creighton, while the third-place Red Storm most recently defeated DePaul, 2-0.

  • Gabreil Gjergji is sixth in the BIG EAST in Goals Against Average (1.086) as well as Save Percentage (.735).
     
  • The Bulldogs clinch a berth in the six-team BIG EAST Tournament with a win Wednesday at St. John's or if DePaul loses or ties Wednesday at Xavier. Butler can finish as high as the No. 4 seed and host a quarterfinal match, but could also end up as the No. 5 seed, the No. 6 seed, or on the outside looking in based on the number of scenarios in play for Wednesday's results throughout the conference.
     
  • Jack Haywood, an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection in spring 2020-21, has been out with injury since the September 29 match at No. 5 Marshall.
