Butler posted a 73-68 exhibition win over the University of Indianapolis Friday night in the Bulldogs' final tune-up for the 2021-22 season.
Sophomore guard
Chuck Harris paced the Bulldogs with 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Bryce Nze posted a double-double for the second consecutive outing with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman
Jayden Taylor had 12 points.
The Bulldogs shot 53 percent from the field and had 14 assists against only five turnovers.
UIndy went 17-of-22 from the free throw line to stay in the contest for most of the evening. Cory Miller, Jr., led the Greyhounds with 21 points on 6-of-7 shooting from three-point range.
Roosevelt Jones, currently a member of the UIndy coaching staff, made his return to Hinkle Fieldhouse. Jones helped the Bulldogs to three NCAA Tournament appearances during his time at Butler, twice earning All-BIG EAST second team honors. He was part of 94 wins in his four seasons of action.
Friday's contest served as Butler's second and final exhibition leading into the 2021-22 regular season, which tips off Tuesday night as the Bulldogs host IUPUI at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
