The No. 6 seed Butler men's soccer team will play No. 3 seed St. John's in a quarterfinal match in the BIG EAST Tournament on Saturday, November 6, at 5 pm. The same two sides just met, three days earlier, in the final regular season match for both teams. Butler came out on top in that one, 1-0, in overtime.
 
BULLDOG BITS
  • Butler is appearing in the BIG EAST Tournament for the sixth time in nine seasons. The Bulldogs' overall record is 4-1-3.
     
  • Jack Haywood, an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection in spring 2020-21, returned to action in the previous match against St John's after missing seven matches due to injury. He had been out since the September 29 match at No. 5 Marshall.
     
  • Butler's 2021 schedule has included six ranked teams, including three ranked in the top-5 when the contest was played.
