Butler volleyball's
Jaymeson Kinley earned recognition as the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for her strong play over the weekend.
The junior libero from Lexington, Ky., led the conference in dig/set (6.14) last week after posting 13 at Providence on Friday night and 30 at No. 24 Creighton on Sunday afternoon. The 30 digs at Creighton is tied for the second-most by any BIG EAST player in a conference match this season.
Kinley continues to lead the BIG EAST in both digs/set (5.33) and total digs (512), which are No. 10 and No. 11 nationally in those categories, respectively.
She becomes the second Butler volleyball student-athlete this season to be recognized as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week following
Melody Davidson on Oct. 25.
