The Butler women's tennis team went 2-0 on the weekend, claiming a commanding sweep over Marian on Sunday at the Butler Bubble. The Bulldogs handled every singles match in straight sets.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
The Bulldogs won all three doubles matches handily, by scores of 6-1, to secure the first point of the game. The No. 3 pair of Veronika Bruetting/Sarah Monesmith moved to 3-2 in doubles on the season, the only pair with a winning record for the Bulldogs, thus far.

LONE 'DAWGS
In singles, Natalie Boesing picked up her third singles win at the No. 1 spot for the Bulldogs in straight sets, keeping Marian's Betija Dusele from scoring any points in the match (6-0, 6-0).

Sara Linn made the match 3-0 after a straight set win in the No. 4 flight. She limited Alex Elpers to just one point between both sets.

Freshman Delaney Schurhamer clinched the match for the Bulldogs in the No. 3 spot, earning a solid straight set win. Lauryn Padgett picked up her first singles win this season. She took up the No. 2 flight in straights sets, as well.

Sarah Monesmith made her singles debut at the No. 6 spot and posted a 6-1, 6-2 win to set Butler up for the sweep.

Hallie Leblebijian, who has been consistent for the Bulldogs at the No. 6 spot this year, closed out the match with a straight set win in the No. 5 flight for the 7-0 victory.

NEXT TIME OUT
Butler will welcome Western Kentucky to the Bubble on Saturday, Feb. 27, followed by a doubleheader against Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Feb. 28. First serve against the Hilltoppers is scheduled for 11 a.m.
