SAN DIEGO – San Diego recorded a 27-13 home win over Butler on Saturday afternoon to improve to 2-0 on the season. With the setback, but moves to 0-2 on the year.
How it Happened
San Diego led 10-3 after the first quarter and would add one final TD in the fourth to secure their 27-13 victory.
JJ Wadas hit a field goal from 38-yards out in the first quarter to post the first Bulldog points of the afternoon. BU would find the end zone for the first time in the second quarter when
Sam Brown hit
Kavon Samuels for a gain of 12. That TD took the two teams into the half with SD leading 17-10.
The two teams exchanged field goals in the third. Eickert hit from 25 yards for San Diego and Wadas came back out on the field to give BU three with a 27-yard make. The final points on Saturday went to the home team in the fourth quarter as Mason Randall hit Derek Kline with a two-yard pass for pay dirt.
