INDIANAPOLIS – Butler will play three games against Valparaiso this weekend at Bulldog Park. On Friday, Butler will play as the home team at 4 PM. On Saturday, Valpo will play as the home team in each game of the doubleheader at starts at noon.

Valpo is 4-10 on the year with all 14 games coming on the road. They recently took a 6-3 loss at #14 Notre Dame on Tuesday. Steven Fitzsimmons, Kyle Schmack and Kaleb Hannahs are the top offensive weapons on the roster. Fitzsimmons and Schmack are near the team lead with seven runs scored each. Fitzsimmons holds a .283 average and Schmack is close behind at .278. Hannahs has started in all 14 games and has a .255 BA.
Friday's starter is slated to be Easton Rhodehouse, a right-hander with a 1-1 record over his first four starts. Rhodehouse has a 4.63 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 11.2 innings of action. Game one of the doubleheader will belong to Colin Fields. The strikeout king on the roster, Fields has sat down 25 batters over 19 innings. He is 1-2 with a 3.32 ERA. The final starter will be right-hander Trent Turzenski. At 1-3 overall, Turzenski has 18 strikeouts in 19.1 innings. He is 1-3 on the hill with a 6.52 ERA.
