The Butler Women's Tennis team's winning streaked was snapped at three as they fell to Western Kentucky 6-1 at home on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs are now 3-4 on the season.
 
The Lady Toppers took the doubles point after winning the third and second flights, 6-2 and 6-3, respectively. Natalie Boesing and Lauren Marx were leading in the first flight, 5-4, but the set went unfinished.
 
Delaney Schurhamer picked up a win in her singles flight to get the Bulldogs their point. After dropping the first set 2-6, she came back to win the next two set 6-2 each. Her three set victory in the third flight moves her to 4-3 on the season in that spot.
 
Unfortunately, Schurhamer's victory came after WKU had already clinched the match with victories in the fourth, second and fifth flights. Boesing was able to battle to three sets in the first flight, but came up just short in the third set.
 
Butler will head to Valparaiso tomorrow for a match against the Crusaders at 4 p.m.
