Butler women's soccer (7-1, 4-1) travels to Milwaukee, Wis., to face Marquette (4-2, 2-2). Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 28. The game will be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network.

- Butler is currently receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll.
- Redshirt-junior Stephanie Rodriguez was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week for the second week in a row.
- Rodriguez put up her fourth shutout of the year against Creighton, moving her to 13 in her career as a Bulldog, which ranks third all-time.
- 14 different Bulldogs have found the back of the net for Butler this season.
- Anja Savich leads the team with 15 points off seven goals and one assist. She tied a Butler record for goals in a single game after recording four against Marian on Wednesday.
- Katie Soderstrom has a team-high four assists, she also has four goals.
- Savich and Soderstrom are the only two players in the BIG EAST to record hat tricks so far this season.
- Stephanie Rodriguez was selected as the 2021 Preseason BIGEAST Goalkeeper of the Year
- Rodriguez, along with Soderstrom and Savich, were named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. With three honorees, Butler had the most representation of any league team.
- Butler leads the series against the Golden Eagles, 6-3-1.

Last Time Out
The Bulldogs went 1-1 last week in road conference games at Creighton and DePaul. Against Creighton, Butler was able to shut down the Bluejays 4-0, with goals from
Aliya Diagne,
Alli Leonard,
Morgan Kloosterman, and
Payton Black.

Last Sunday, DePaul did not allow Butler to get comfortable on offense. The Blue Demons came out with a 1-0 win after a goal in the 24
th minute, handing Butler its first loss of the season.

Stephanie Rodriguez was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week for the second week in a row after posting her fourth season shutout and grabbing a season-high eight saves at Creighton.

Scouting Marquette
The Golden Eagles enter Sunday's game at 5-2, and 3-2 in BIG EAST play. Marquette is coming off a 1-0 win over DePaul on Thursday. Elsi Twombly and Kylie Sprecher are the leading scorers for Marquette, both with three goals apiece. Twombly and Alexa Maletis co-lead Marquette with two assists this season.

In their last meeting on March 11, 2021, Butler pulled off a 1-0 win in Indianapolis.

Women's soccer teams will play divisional schedules with six teams in the East (Connecticut, Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova) and five teams in the Midwest (Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Marquette and Xavier). The divisional teams will play home and home matches against each divisional opponent. Both schedules have two bye weeks built in for rescheduling purposes if necessary. The women's championship will be hosted at Providence, April 15-18.
