The Butler women's lacrosse team dropped game two of the weekend to Villanova, 10-15. The Wildcats came away with the weekend sweep, moving to .500 in BIG EAST play and 5-7 overall.
Butler is now 0-7 on the season and will set sights on a mid-week win, hosting Denison on Wednesday.
How It Happened:
Villanova opened the game on a 6-2 scoring run. Butler was able to cut the lead with two goals to close out the first period, 6-4.
The Bulldogs came out of the locker room with two quick scores to tie the game at 6-6 and again at 7-7. The Wildcats then went on a 5-0 run that Butler was not able to answer.
Kayla Kielbasa helped lead the offense, taking a team high five shots, scoring once and adding an assist. Freshman
Leah Rubino continued her standout defense for the Dawgs, causing four turnovers.

Butler will host Denison on Wednesday April 14 in the last non-conference match-up of the season. The Bulldogs and Big Red will face off at Varsity Field at 4 p.m.
Butler will then have a quick turn around, heading out for the final road series of year at Georgetown, with game one set for Friday, April 16.
