MOREHEAD, KY. – The Butler Bulldogs fell to Morehead State 28-18 in their final regular-season game. Butler made a valiant effort at a comeback but, in the end, fell short.

Butler was in an early 14-0 hole after Morehead State put up two scores in the first quarter. The Bulldogs responded and dominated the second quarter scoring 10 points while shutting out their opponent.

The Eagles outscored the Bulldogs 14-8 in the third, which proved to be the deciding factor. While holding the Eagles scoreless in the second and fourth, the Bulldogs were unable to close the gap.

Sam Brown had his best performance of the season after going 27/36 for 284 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Yogi Flager was a pivotal part of the offense hauling in 10 receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Nick Orlando and Kavon Samuels led the BU rushing attack with 56 and 45 yards on the ground respectively. Samuels also caught five passes for 79 yards and a score.

Austin Korba and Jordan Caselberry each added a sack for the Bulldogs, which brings their season total to four. Connor Reid led the defensive effort for the Dawgs leading the team with seven tackles on the day.
