Butler's Michael Cascino will open 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional play Monday at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind. The 54-hole event is scheduled through Wednesday.

A par-72, 7,173-yard Jack Nicklaus Signature design, The Sagamore Club is one of six regional sites across the country. The top five teams from each regional, along with the highest finishing individual not associated with one of those teams, will advance to the NCAA Championships to be held May 28-June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

For the first two rounds, tee times will start at 8 a.m. Wednesday's tee times will start at 7:30 a.m. ET. Admission is free.

Cascino earned a spot in the event by taking the BIG EAST individual title in a playoff, topping Marquette's Hunter Eichhorn on the third playoff hole. Both players finished the 54-hole event at seven-under 209. Cascino forced a playoff with a birdie on the 54th hole, while Eichhorn carded a bogey.

Cascino became the first Butler men's golfer to claim a BIG EAST title.
