Butler's student-athletes continued to post strong performances in the classroom along with their work in athletic competition. The spring 2021 semester saw the Butler Athletics department and its teams combine to post a cumulative GPA of 3.395.
 
The Bulldogs followed up an impressive fall, which saw student-athletes register a 3.388 GPA.
 
The spring 2021 effort was led by the 88 student-athletes (including graduate students) who posted a 4.0 GPA during the semester. Eighty-four student-athletes earned a spot on the Dean's List. Butler also had 370 student-athletes make the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, which requires GPA of at least 3.25 for the semester.
 
The women's soccer team posted the highest-team GPA among Butler's athletic programs with an impressive 3.817. The women's cross country team registered a 3.748 team GPA, closely followed by the women's tennis program at 3.742.
 
On the men's side, the men's cross country team earned a 3.512 as a team, followed by the men's soccer program with a 3.498 mark. The men's track and field team finished the semester with a 3.487 GPA.  
 
Fourteen of Butler's 20 NCAA athletic programs (which include Butler's cheerleading and dance programs) had team GPAs above 3.2 in the fall.
