BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Butler men's soccer team (0-1-1) fell to the No. 1-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (2-0-0) by the score of 0-1 at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

Key Moments
·           Butler produced two early shots on goal, in the fourth and fifth minutes. Both came off the foot of Henri Kumwenda, and both were saved by Indiana goalkeeper Roman Celentano.
·           An Indiana handball in the 16th minute allowed a free kick sent into the box, but the Hoosiers denied any scoring opportunity with an uncontested header.
·           In the 22nd minute, Wilmer Cabrera, Jr. dribbled from the center line toward the box and took a hard shot, but it was unfortunately deflected high off a teammate.
·           Indiana produced its first two shots in the 25th minute. Both were from inside the box, but the first was blocked by the Bulldogs' defense, and the second was saved by Gabriel Gjergji.
·           A Butler foul in the 28th minute produced an Indiana free kick just ten yards outside of the box. A Hoosiers header came off the bar, a second header was blocked by the defense, and then the rebound was finished by Indiana's Joey Maher. Indiana led, 1-0.
·           The Bulldogs had a free kick opportunity in the 43rd minute, level with the top of the box, but the attempted shot spun harmlessly out of bounds.
·           HALFTIME
·           Jack Haywood was shown a yellow card for an aggressive tackle in the 53rd minute.
·           In the 55th minute, a Haywood blast from the top of the box was blocked by the Indiana defense.
·           In the 60th minute, Philip Halvorsen headed a cross from the right side, but it went harmlessly over the bar.
·           An Indiana foul in the 66th minute, about five yards outside of the box, led to a Butler free kick. Rhys Myers brought down the cross and touched the ball to the goal line, but it was saved by a Hoosiers defender just before completely crossing the stripe.
·           The two teams traded yellow cards in the 68th and 69th minutes.
·           In the 77th minute, an Indiana shot was deflected by Gjergji to the crossbar, and he made a second save two minutes later.
