SCOUTING UCLA: The 19th-ranked Bruins are 5-1 after dropping a five-set match to the host in the San Diego Invitational last weekend. This will be the second matchup between Butler and UCLA, with the Bruins winning the first match 3-1 on Nov. 29, 2002.

SCOUTING WESTERN MICHIGAN: The Broncos sport a 6-3 record after taking two out of three matches in each of their first three nonconference tournaments in East Lansing, Mich., Kalamazoo, Mich., and Terre Haute, Ind. King has filled up the stat sheet with 122 kills, 12 blocks, 10 aces and 81 digs.
