The Butler men's soccer team will host former Horizon League foe, Milwaukee, for a 7 PM match on Friday, September 3, at the Sellick Bowl.
 
The Bulldogs are coming off an 0-1 loss against No. 1 Indiana. In that match, Philip Halvorsen produced two shots for Butler, while five teammates each produced one. Three of the Bulldogs' shots were on target. Gabriel Gjergji made four saves for Butler.
The Bulldogs, behind the goalkeeping of Gjergji, have allowed just one goal through the first two matches of the season. Perrin Barnes, Wilmer Cabrera Jr., Jack Haywood, Rhys Myers, and Gjergji have all logged 200 minutes or more this season.
 
Butler (a former Horizon League member) has played 28 matches against Milwaukee. In the last meeting, on September 24, 2011, Butler lost, 1-3, in Paul Snape's first season as head coach.
 
Scouting the Panthers
 
2021 Season:
Milwaukee defeated Drake, 2-1, in its home and season-opener on August 26th.
 
Spring 2021 Season:
Milwaukee went 8-5-0 last season and won the Horizon League Tournament by defeating Northern Kentucky in the finals, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. In the NCAA Tournament, the Panthers fell to St. Francis Brooklyn, 1-2, in double overtime. The Panthers graduated no seniors from last year's NCAA Tournament team.
