The Butler women's soccer team is preparing to travel to Milwaukee, Wis., on Thursday, September 23, for its first BIG EAST match of the season. The Bulldogs (7-1-0) most recently beat Western Michigan, their seventh win in as many matches. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 1-0 (2OT) win against North Dakota State.
In the win over Western Michigan, Katie Soderstrom knotched her second career hat trick and the fourth multi-goal match of her career. Her assist was her second of the season and 18th of her career. Abigail Isger scored her fifth goal of the season, which was the sixth of her career. Gabby Smith's goal was her third of the season and the fourth of her career. Alli Leonard was credited with two assists, her fourth and fifth of the season, giving her a career total of eight. This is the second time she has made two assists in a single match. Morgan Kloosterman knotched two assists, her first of the season and the third and fourth of her career. This was the first time she has produced multiple assists in a match. Anastasia Savich's assist was her second in as many matches and the 11th of her career. Freshman Emma Martin made one save to improve to 7-0-0 on the season and was credited with her third shutout.

  • The Bulldogs have scored 20 goals in eight matches this season (2.5 goals/match) while giving up nine goals (1.13 goals allowed/match).

The redshirt-junior tallied three goals and an assist as the Bulldogs won 5-0 last Thursday. It marked her second career hat trick and fourth career multi-goal match.
  • Soderstrom, who has scored in five of Butler's eight matches this season, is the second Bulldog in program history to score seven points in one match. Four other Bulldogs have scored eight points in one match, and they lead the pack.
  • Soderstrom (8g, 2a, 18p) leads the Bulldogs in offensive points. She now has 24 goals for her career which ties her for eighth on Butler's career list
  • Forward Abigail Isger (5g, 4a, 14p) is second in points for the Bulldogs
