@ButlerUWSoccer Downs Utah for Fourth Straight Win

INDIANAPOLIS - The Butler women's soccer team (4-1-0) won its fourth consecutive match on Sunday, a 2-1 win over visiting Utah (3-3-0) at the Sellick Bowl.
 
Key Moments
  • In the 33rd minute, Becky Dean struck a corner kick that landed in a crowd in front of the Utah goal. Gabby Smith was able to get a touch on the ball and send it past the Utes keeper for a 1-0 lead.
  • In the 39th minute, Dean carried the ball down the left side and send a short pass to Gretchen Skoglund at the left side of the penalty area. She sent a shot in that glanced off the Utah keeper. Maddie Farnsworth was right there to send it directly into the right side of the net for what would ultimately be the game-winning goal.
  • In the 42nd minute, the Utes drew a foul and in the penalty area and converted a penalty kick to draw to within one, 2-1.
  • In the 77th minute, Utah's Ragan Fuller was assessed her second yellow card. Her ejection forced the Utes to play one player down for the remainder of the match.
  • In the 85th minute, Katie Soderstrom hit a shot past the Utah keeper that bounced off the left post.
