Full Notes

The Butler women's soccer team will have some clarity regarding its postseason journey after its final match of the regular season on the road at Creighton. The two sides, which are currently tied for fourth in the conference standings, will meet on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 7:30PM ET (6:30PM CT). The Bulldogs (7-7-3, 4-3-2 BIG EAST) are coming off a 2-2 draw with No. 16 Georgetown, while the Bluejays (8-3-6, 4-3-2 BIG EAST) most recently lost to Xavier, 1-2.

Butler has clinched a spot in the six-team BIG EAST Women's Soccer Tournament entering the match. The Bulldogs could finish anywhere from the No. 3 seed through the No. 6 seed based on the potential outcomes of Thursday's matches across the BIG EAST schedule. With a win at Creighton Thursday night, Butler would host a Sunday BIG EAST quarterfinal as either the No. 3 or 4 seed. With a loss at Creighton Thursday night, Butler would travel on the road for a BIG EAST quarterfinal Sunday as the tournament's No. 5 or 6 seed. With a Thursday night tie at Creighton, there are numerous scenarios that have the Bulldogs either hosting or traveling for their BIG EAST quarterfinal based on how the league's other Thursday night contests play out.
