The Butler men's soccer team is facing a critical two-game stretch that will determine postseason qualification. First up is a road game at Seton Hall, the league's second-place team, on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7pm. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-1 win over St. John's, while the Pirates most recently defeated Villanova, 2-1.
With two matches remaining, Butler (9-5-1, 4-3-1 BIG EAST) is currently tied with No. 19 Xavier in the third spot in the BIG EAST standings, three points behind Seton Hall (4-6-4, 2-2-3 BIG EAST) and six points behind league-leading No. 24 Georgetown. UConn is in fifth, two points back, and Providence and Creighton are tied for sixth, just three points behind Butler and Xavier. Butler and Xavier will meet on the final day of BIG EAST competition.
