Both TopDrawerSoccer and College Soccer News have placed Butler forward Wilmer Cabrera, Jr. on their Men's National Teams of the Week for the week ending October 2.

Cabrera, Jr. registered four points on one goal and two assists at Marquette last week. After 30 scoreless minutes, he broke the game open when he made a move around a defender and sent a left-footed shot just inside the right post for the 1-0 advantage. Out of the halftime break, the native of Bogota, Columbia, collected his first assist of the outing in the 53rd minute when he connected with Palmer Ault to place Butler in front 2-0. After the Golden Eagles cut the deficit in half, Cabrera, Jr., once again set up Ault in space who buried home the Bulldogs' third goal of the night. Overall, Cabrera, Jr., ranks eighth in the BIG EAST and second on the team with 11 points (4g, 3a) this season.
 
Butler hosts Georgetown on Wednesday and IUPUI on Saturday.
