Butler cruised to a 91-55 win over Davenport in the team's second and final exhibition of the preseason Tuesday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Chuck Harris led five Bulldogs in double figures with 22 points.
STAT OF THE GAME: After having only seven assists in Saturday's exhibition win over Tiffin, the Bulldogs had 25 assists on their 39 made field goals Tuesday against Davenport. The 25 assists came against only 10 turnovers.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eighteen of Harris's 22 points came in the first half. He made seven of his nine attempts over the opening 20 minutes and went 8-for-12 from the field overall. He also had game-highs of eight rebounds and four steals.
- The Bulldogs shot 64 percent from the field; eight of the nine Bulldogs who saw action in the contest shot at least 50 percent from the field individually.
- Joining Harris in double figures were Simas Lukosius (15), Manny Bates (12), Jayden Taylor (12), and Eric Hunter Jr. (10).
- Butler forced Davenport into 20 turnovers and held the visitors to 39-percent shooting.
- Twelve of Davenport's 20 made field goals were three-pointers.
- Myles Tate and Hunter led the Bulldogs with six assists apiece.
- Butler had 54 points in the paint, compared to just 16 for Davenport. The Bulldogs had a 35-23 rebounding advantage.
- The Bulldogs had a 23-2 edge in fast break points.
