Five student-athletes on the Butler women's soccer team –
Aliya Diagne,
Claire Farrington,
Arianna Jalics,
Anna Schroeder, and
Katie Soderstrom – have been recognized by College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District®.

The 2022 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.

Diagne, a senior from Neunkirchen, Germany, started all 19 matches this season for Butler. She tallied two assists, attacking primarily from a defensive position. The Finance major has earned a 3.93 cumulative GPA.

Farrington, a junior from Mondanville, NSW, Australia, appeared in 14 matches for the Bulldogs, with 11 starts this season. She put in two goals. The Youth and Community Development major has 4.00 cumulative GPA.

Jalics, a junior from Ray, Mich., started all 19 matches for Butler as a center midfielder. She scored two goals and added two assists over the season. The Pharmacy major has produced a 3.82 cumulative GPA.

Schroeder, a junior from Watertown, Wis., appeared in 16 matches for the Bulldogs and had a starting role in the defensive line in the final 12. She notched one goal on the season. A Computer Science major, she has a 3.93 cumulative GPA.

Soderstrom, a fifth-year athlete from Carmel, Ind., is receiving this particular recognition for the fourth time. The forward started all 19 matches for Butler, scoring six goals and adding six assists. The Elementary Education major has earned a 3.99 cumulative GPA.
