Megan Sheridan, Marisa Guisti and Mariah Grunze were all named Academic All-District today. The 2022 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Sheridan already obtained an undergraduate degree in accounting and is currently completing a masters degree in public accounting at Butler. Her 3.951 cumulative GPA is the highest on the team. On the court, Sheridan has 253 kills, 83 digs and 30 blocks.

Guisti is working towards a degree in sports media with a concentration in sociology. She has a 3.523 cum GPA and leads Butler with 106 blocks. Guisti ended the regular season as the BIG EAST leader in blocks per set (1.15) and ranks 81st in the nation.

Grunze is a speech language and pathology major with a 3.724 cum GPA. She is the Butler team leader in kills with 362.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.  The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
 
Voting for the Academic All-America women's volleyball teams begins today at noon ET and closes Tuesday, December 6, at 11:59 pm ET. All CSC members are eligible to vote on the ballots in their division. To vote, go to www.collegesportscommunicators.com/awards.
