Release from USC
 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Butler Athletics and the women's soccer program are proud to announce that Aliya Diagne has been honored in a Thursday, December 15, release by the United Soccer Coaches for her performances in the classroom and on the soccer field this past season. A business major with a 3.92 GPA, the senior was designated a member of the Scholar All-North/Central Region Second Team.
 
Diagne, from Neunkirchen, Germany, started all 19 matches for the Bulldogs this season as an attacking outside defensive back. In addition to her role in the back line, she tallied ten total shots and produced two assists. Diagne was also recently named to the 2022 All-BIG EAST Second Team, the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team, and she was recognized as Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators.
