JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Dolphins recorded an 11-3 victory over Butler on Saturday night to improve their overall record to 8-3. With the loss, Butler moves to 4-6.
The Dolphins scored first in the bottom of the second inning and would add two more runs in the third. The game started to take shape in the fifth with three more runs crossing home plate.
Butler got on the board with a single run in the seventh and would add two more runs in the ninth.
Butler was led by
Billy Wurch and his 3-for-5 effort from the plate.
Travis Holt also had a multi-hit game for the Bulldogs.
The win went to Tyler Naumann while the loss was handed to
Cole McDaniel. Six total Bulldogs touched the rubber for BU on Saturday.
The final game of the series will be played on Sunday at 1 PM.
