@ButlerUBaseball Wins at Jacksonville 7-3

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Butler baseball team ended their three-game series at Jacksonville with a 7-3 victory over the Dolphins on Sunday. BU recorded six of their seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to come out on top.

Jacksonville scored two runs early to build a small lead. The Bulldogs cut that advantage in half in the fourth inning with an RBI single from Lukas Galdoni that scored Robbie McCargar.

The Dolphins would push their lead back to two runs with a single score in the sixth, but the Bulldogs took full control in the top of the seventh.

Kollyn All, Aaron Steinhart, and Billy Wurch all hit a double in the seventh inning to help mount the comeback. All doubled to left allowing Scott Jones to score and Steinhart would clear the bases with his double to left to make the score 6-3. Wurch also doubled to left sending Steinhart to the dish.

Steinhart led BU with three RBI, Wurch and All each had two hits, and Travis Holt lived on the base paths, going 1-for-1 with one run scored and four walks.

Aaron Barokas got the start and tossed 5.1 innings for the Bulldogs. He struck out six and only walked one. Jon Vore would come in for relief and would exit with his first win of the season. Vore went 2.2 on the hill with two strikeouts and limited the Dolphins to just one hit. Derek Drees also touched the rubber for BU. He struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth.
