INDIANAPOLIS — The game was scoreless through eight innings on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs collected a 1-0 win over the Eastern Illinois Panthers on a walk-off single from James Gargano. Lukas Galdoni (2-0) was credited with the win.
 
Cory Bosecker took care of the first 6.1 innings of the contest striking out 11 Panthers in 22 at-bats. Lukas Galdoni came in to pitch the final innings, only allowing a hit in 10 batters faced. The duo combined for a six-hit shutout of EIU as the Bulldogs take the win.
 
Butler was led by Gargano offensively. The BU left fielder went 1-3 and earned an RBI on the day.
 
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow with a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
