The Butler softball team will be in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Apr. 12, for a non-conference game with UIC. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm. (A previously scheduled game the following day, Wednesday, Apr. 13, against Miami (Ohio), has been canceled.)

The Bulldogs (21-14, 9-5 BIG EAST) currently sit in third in the conference standings behind UConn and Providence. Butler most recently won two of three in a BIG EAST series at St. John's.

  • Karli Ricketts leads the BIG EAST (37th nationally) in hits allowed/7 innings (4.41) and is second (63rd) in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.62). She also comes in at number two (75th) in strikeouts (111) as well as walks allowed/7 innings (1.71). Ricketts ranks fifth in strikeouts/7 innings (7.9).
  • Lauren Fey ranks first in the BIG EAST (34th nationally) as toughest to strikeout, averaging 21.0 at bats per strikeout. Her twelve stolen bases put her seventh in stolen bases/game (.35).
  • Monique Hoosen leads the BIG EAST (94th nationally) in home runs (9) and is fifth in slugging percentage (0.679). She ranks sixth in walks/game (0.56).
  • Ellie Boyer leads the BIG EAST and is 71st nationally with 0.18 sacrifice bunts per game.
  • Ella White's four sacrifice flies lead the BIG EAST and put her 8th nationally.
  • Alyssa Graves ranks second in the BIG EAST with 5.62 hits allowed/inning. She ranks second (71st nationally) with 8.7 strikeouts per seven innings and seventh with 88 strikeouts.
  • Bri Avery's 13 stolen bases put her in fifth in the conference in stolen bases/game (.37).
     
  • Monique Hoosen's nine home runs this season have moved her into a tie for fourth on Butler's all-time list for home runs in one season. With twelve in her career, she is now tied for tenth on that all-time list.
  • With 30 total wins, Karli Ricketts is now tied for seventh on Butler's all-time list.
