The Butler softball team is preparing for a BIG EAST series with Creighton from April 22-24. Game times are scheduled for Friday at 3 pm, Saturday at 1 pm, and Sunday at 12 pm.

The Bulldogs (23-14, 9-5 BIG EAST) are currently in third in the BIG EAST standings, trailing UConn and Villanova and sitting just in front of Providence. Butler most recently won a non-conference game against Purdue Fort Wayne. The Bluejays (14-21, 4-12) currently have the seventh spot in the conference standings.

  • Karli Ricketts leads the BIG EAST (36th nationally) in hits allowed/7 innings (4.41) and is second with a 2.42 ERA. She comes in at number three (63rd) in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.62) and walks allowed/7 innings (1.71). Her 111 strikeouts rank fourth (98th), and she landed fifth in strikeouts/7 innings (7.9).
  • Lauren Fey ranks first in the BIG EAST (29th nationally) as toughest to strikeout, averaging 21.6 at bats per strikeout. Her thirteen stolen bases put her sixth in stolen bases/game (.37).
  • Monique Hoosen is third in the BIG EAST with nine home runs and fourth in home runs/game (0.26). She ranks sixth in slugging percentage (0.671).
  • Ella White's four sacrifice flies lead the BIG EAST and put her 11th nationally.
  • Ellie Boyer leads the BIG EAST and is 63rd nationally with 0.17 sacrifice bunts per game.
  • Alyssa Graves ranks second in the BIG EAST (65th nationally) with 8.7 strikeouts per seven innings. She also comes in at number two with 5.62 hits allowed/inning.
  • Bri Avery's 14 stolen bases put her in fifth in the conference in stolen bases/game (.39).
     
  • With her fourth home run this past Tuesday, Ella White has launched a long ball in two consecutive games.
  • Bri Avery was 3-for-3 with two stolen bases against Purdue Fort Wayne.
  • Lauren Fey's stolen base on Tuesday was her 14th of the season and the 47th of her career. She is now tied for fifth (Erin Jackson, 2008-2011) on Butler's all-time list for career stolen bases.
  • Tuesday's win for Alyssa Graves was the 36th of her career, tying her fifth (Jennifer Chasteen, '07-'08, '10-'11) on Butler's all-time list.
  • Karli Ricketts' five strikeouts against Purdue Fort Wayne puts her career total at 436, landing her in the fifth spot on Butler's all-time list.
