The Butler men's soccer team faces a tough test in seeking its second win of the season when No. 14 Marshall comes to Indianapolis on Monday, August 29, for a 7 pm kickoff. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-0 win over Western Michigan, while the Herd defeated VCU, 5-0, in its season opener.

  • Senior forward Wilmer Cabrera, Jr. was chosen the 2022 Preseason BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year. He was also selected to the College Soccer News All-America Second Team.
     
  • Butler's 2022 schedule includes five teams who received recognition in the United Soccer Coaches 2022 Pre-Season poll (#2 Georgetown, #13 Indiana, #14 Marshall, #16 Providence, and RV St. John's).
     
  • Against Western Michigan:
    -Palmer Ault's goal against was the first of his career.
    -Wilmer Cabrera, Jr.'s goal was the 18th of his career.
