The Butler women's soccer team is looking to get back into the win column when Wright State comes to the Sellick Bowl on Thursday, September 1, for a 7 pm kickoff. The Bulldogs are coming off a 1-0 loss to Illinois, while the Raiders most recently defeated Central Michigan, 3-0.

- Fifth Year Katie Soderstrom was chosen the 2022 Preseason BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year. Joining her on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team is senior defender Aliya Diagne.
- Butler's 2022 schedule includes four teams who received recognition in the United Soccer Coaches 2022 Pre-Season poll (#9 Michigan, #19 Georgetown, #24 Xavier, and RV Wisconsin).
- Butler is receiving votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches national poll. The previous week's No. 17 ranking was the highest ranking in program history. Prior to this season, the Bulldogs were most recently ranked No. 23 in the September 11, 2018, poll, and the previous all-time high was No. 20 in the October 31, 2017, poll.

- Katie Soderstrom notched the game-winning goal in both of Butler's victories in the young season.
