The Butler women's soccer team will look to rebound from a pair of losses when it travels to Northwestern on Sunday, September 11, for a 3 pm (2 pm CT) kickoff. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-1 loss to Dayton, while the Wildcats most recently defeated No. 6 Stanford, 1-0.

- Katie Soderstrom is second in the nation with three game-winning goals, sixth with 2.6 shots on goal per game, eighth with 8 total goals, and 11th with 12 points. She leads the BIG EAST in all four categories.
- Anna Pierce's shutouts (2), goals-against average (.623) and save percentage (.850) all rank third in the BIG EAST.
- Katie Soderstrom was selected for the second time this season as the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week following her performances against Wright State and No. 22 Wisconsin. She led the Butler offense last week by scoring three goals and adding an assist to total seven points, tallying 11 shots in two matches. She scored her three goals on five shots and had one assist against Wright State. She also had five shots, two of which were on goal, against No. 22 Wisconsin. Soderstrom led the BIG EAST in shots, points, and goals last week, becoming the first conference player to register a hat trick in 2022.
- Freshman Talia Sommer, who started in Butler's first three matches this season, was away from the team temporarily on a callback to Israel to compete with the Israeli women's national football team during qualification matches for the 2023 World Cup. She started in Israel's 2-1 win over Bulgaria on Sep. 1 and also saw action in the loss to Serbia on Sep. 6. She has returned to action with the Bulldogs, scoring the only goal against Dayton on Sept. 8.
