The Butler women's soccer team will welcome Dayton to the Sellick Bowl on Thursday, September 8, at 7 pm. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-0 loss to No. 22 Wisconsin, while the Flyers most recently defeated Bellarmine, 1-0.

- Katie Soderstrom is second in the nation with three game-winning goals, sixth with 2.6 shots on goal per game, eighth with 8 total goals, and 11th with 12 points. She leads the BIG EAST in all four categories.

She led the Butler offense last week by scoring three goals and adding an assist to total seven points, tallying 11 shots in two matches. She scored her three goals on five shots and had one assist against Wright State. She also had five shots, two of which were on goal, against No. 22 Wisconsin. Soderstrom led the BIG EAST in shots, points, and goals last week, becoming the first conference player to register a hat trick in 2022.
- Freshman Talia Sommer, who started in Butler's first three matches this season, was called back to Israel to compete with the Israeli women's national football team during qualification matches for the 2023 World Cup. She started in Israel's 2-1 win over Bulgaria on Sep. 1 and also saw action in the loss to Serbia this past Tuesday, Sep. 6.
