The Butler women's tennis team traveled to South Bend on Saturday, losing 6-1 to in-state opponents, Notre Dame. 
 
The Fighting Irish took the doubles point, winning at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Delaney Schurhamer beat her opponent in three sets, earning her first win of the season and Butler's lone point of the contest. Chase Metcalf and Emma Beavin came close in their respective matches but fell short, losing in the third set. 
 
Up Next for the Bulldogs is a home matchup with Bowling Green on Saturday, Jan. 28.
